Frank Novel was again juried Into the Erie Art Museum’s annual Spring Show.  This year’s national guest juror was Roberto Lugo. 

From the Museum’s website: “Lugo is an American artist, ceramicist, social activist, spoken word poet, and educator. Lugo uses porcelain as his medium of choice, illuminating its aristocratic surface with imagery of poverty, inequality, and social and racial injustice.“

Frank draws almost every day, and has filled dozens of sketchbooks with his work since the 1970’s.  We scanned pages from his sketchbooks and made inkjet enlargements to enter in the exhibition.
