Frank Novel was juried once again Into the Erie Art Museum’s annual Spring Show. This year’s national guest juror was Jessica Hong.
From the Museum’s website: “Hong is the new Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at the Toledo Museum of Art where she is responsible for broadening art historical narratives and shaping a dynamic collection and exhibition program. Prior to the TMA, she was the Associate Curator of Global Contemporary Art at Dartmouth’s Hood Museum of Art.”
Frank draws almost every day, and has filled dozens of sketchbooks with his work since the 1970’s. We scanned pages from his sketchbooks and made inkjet enlargements to enter in the exhibition. Frank’s piece was hung adjacent to Fred Scruton’s portrait of Henry Hall.
