The Kohler Foundation funded the restoration of Prophet Isaiah Robertson’s distressed site.  B. R. Howard Conservation removed all the rocks, stones and wood structures from the site. In the spring through early fall ’23, they re-installed PVC replicas of all the wood structures. All the original stones were re-painted and returned to their original locations. The site, which had fallen into severe disrepair, looks remarkably like it did at its peak, and is now able to withstand the Niagara Falls, NY winters. The re-installation crew kept asking in disbelief if Prophet Isaiah had really built it all by himself – his explanation was that it came straight from God.  B. R. Howard said they could not have recreated the site without having Fred Scruton’s vintage photographs as references, and they referred frequently to a large flip book full of (mostly) Scruton photos.
